The Bible

The Bible: One Story, Two Testaments

From Creation to Christ, from Promise to Fulfillment

“The Old Testament prepares the way. The New Testament reveals the way.”

The Bible is divided into two main parts:

the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Old Testament
The Old Testament tells the story of God’s creation, His covenant with Israel, the Law, the prophets, and God’s promises. It includes books such as Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Isaiah, and Jeremiah.

It prepares the way for the coming of Jesus Christ.

New Testament
The New Testament tells about Jesus Christ, His life, death, resurrection, and the beginning of the Christian church. It includes the Gospels, Acts, the letters of Paul and other apostles, and Revelation. It shows how God’s promises are fulfilled through Jesus.

The Old Testament points forward to Jesus, and the New Testament reveals Jesus as the Savior.

The Bible's Unified Message

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one continuous story:

  • God created humanity for relationship with Him.
  • Sin brought separation, suffering, and death.
  • God began a plan of redemption through Israel.
  • Jesus Christ came as the promised Messiah and Savior.
  • Through His death and resurrection, salvation is offered by grace through faith.
  • The Holy Spirit empowers believers to follow God.
  • Christ will return to establish His eternal kingdom.
  • God's people will live forever in His presence.

The Bible is ultimately the story of God's love, grace, and faithfulness revealed through Jesus Christ, inviting every person into a relationship with Him.

"Faith and Relationship with God through Jesus Christ — Walk in truth and grow in faith with the love and grace of God."
