🌿 What Is God's Love?
God's love is His perfect, faithful, and unchanging love for His creation. It is not something we earn or deserve. It comes from God's own nature.
The Bible tells us:
1 John 4:8
"God is love."
God does not love because He has to.
God loves because love is part of who He is.
Everything God does flows from His holiness, wisdom, mercy, and love.
Before we ever sought God, He sought us.
Before we loved Him, He loved us.
1 John 4:19
"We love because he first loved us."
From the beginning, God created humanity to live in relationship with Him. Even when sin entered the world and separated people from God, His love remained.
God's plan was never to abandon His creation, but to redeem it.
The clearest picture of God's love is found in Jesus Christ.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
God's love is not merely words.
God's love is action.
He gave His Son so that we might receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life.
Romans 5:8
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Jesus did not come because we deserved salvation.
He came because God loved us.
God's love is the source of grace.
Grace means receiving what we do not deserve.
We deserve judgment, yet God offers mercy.
We deserve separation, yet God offers relationship.
We deserve death, yet God offers eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Every blessing of salvation begins with God's love.
Human love can fail.
Feelings change.
Circumstances change.
People change.
But God's love remains constant.
Lamentations 3:22–23
"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning."
God is faithful in every season of life.
Whether in joy or sorrow,
success or failure,
certainty or struggle,
His love remains.
God does not simply invite us to believe that He exists.
He invites us into a relationship with Him.
John 15:9
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love."
To abide in God's love means:
As we grow closer to God, we learn to rest in His love and share that love with others.
Every person experiences struggles, questions, fears, and uncertainty.
The world can often feel temporary and fragile.
Yet God's love offers hope.
His love reminds us that we are not forgotten.
His love points us to Jesus Christ.
His love calls us into a relationship with the One who created us.
No matter where you are in life today, God's invitation remains open.
Come to Him.
Trust in Him.
Walk with Him.
God loves you.
He created you.
He sustains you.
He sent Jesus Christ for you.
Through faith in Jesus Christ, you can know God's love, receive His grace, and grow in a relationship with Him.
"For God so loved the world..." — John 3:16
God's Love is the beginning of Grace, the foundation of Faith, and the heart of a Relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
