God's plan was never to abandon His creation, but to redeem it.
To redeem means:
In the Bible, redemption is God's work of restoring humanity and all creation after sin brought separation, suffering, and death.
When sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, the consequences affected everything:
The problem was not merely that people made mistakes. Humanity's relationship with God was broken.
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
God did not leave humanity in its fallen condition.
He entered history through Jesus Christ.
Jesus lived the perfect life we could not live.
He took upon Himself the judgment that belonged to us.
He died on the cross and rose again to defeat sin and death.
Romans 5:8
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
1 Peter 1:18–19
"You were ransomed... not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ."
The price of redemption was the life of God's Son.
Redemption is not earned through good works, religion, or self-improvement.
It is received through faith in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8–9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."
When a person trusts in Christ:
God's redemption is not limited to saving individual souls.
His purpose is to renew all creation.
Romans 8:21
"The creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption."
One day Christ will return and fully restore:
The Bible tells one great story:
Revelation 21:5
"Behold, I am making all things new."
God's plan was never to abandon His creation. Through Jesus Christ, He is redeeming it, restoring people to Himself, and preparing a new creation where righteousness, peace, and life will reign forever.
